Lyric Run3r Three Wheeled Electric Scooter
Aug 31 2011 05:00 PM | axle_t-Techie in Motorized PTV
Operating at just cents per mile, the LYRIC RUN3R is an electric vehicle purpose-built for practical light personal commuting. Designed to provide reliable, safe, fun and convenient zero-emission personal transportation, the LYRIC RUN3R is the perfect alternative to less-efficient modes of transportation used for short distance trips such as getting to work or school, or just running to the store to pick up a few things.
With a range of up to 35 miles on a single battery charge, the RUN3R comes equipped with the option of a 500, 750 or 1000 watt front hub motor to accommodate different levels of ridership, terrain types and load capacity. With it's ability to fold and low weight, the RUN3R is very versatile and can work for your personal transport needs, whatever they are.
LYRIC PTVs offer the benefits of much larger and less efficient electric scooters or vehicles at a fraction of the cost in both ownership and operation. With base models available starting at $2,349 and energy costs running just pennies per mile, the LYRIC provide highly efficient personal mobility regardless of application - from commercial/industrial and military/security to personal off-roading, golf and light commuting.

This one makes sense, and should be a blast with a 1000 watt front hub motor.
Hey cool - they're located about 25 minutes away from me. I'll have to swing by their shop and take a look!

Wouldn't carrying spare batteries for a planned distance ride be the way to go. The rear looks like it could be adapted for some kind of carrying unit. Today I mind set myself for a longer ride than usual (for me). Same should be done with powered vehicles, prepare.

Yep, if you 'plan ahead' and stick to the 'plan'. But the LYRIC, with TWO batteries (at a few hundred $'s EACH); it could be an EXPENSIVE, and 'heavy' option. I like the 'possibility' of HPV'ing it home (not an option on the Segway, and perhaps the LYRIC [unless you can 'scooter it' with the higher platform]). We all know that "STUFF Happens"!
I ate a Clif bar about half way into the ride today. :-)
I did 100k with 4 36v batteries on the Pon-e. I ended up carrying a battery in my back pack.
Thanks for posting the article! I'm the brand manager for LYRIC and we've been listening to a lot of feedback about what people would like and/or need. The president of LYRIC Motion is in Vegas at Interbike checking out accessories and partners.
I just received some prototype photos of a case for carrying batteries and there is a top case option that will go on the back with an electronic locking mechanism.
If you're in Utah, go by the Draper store and take a test ride. We did take them on the trails behind SLC. It was a blast. You can watch the video on the website http://lyricmotion.c...ideo-general-01
Let me know if you have any questions!
